Its 17.9 acording to autoroute using the post codes.
And there are 8-9 tents, and whitlbury has only space for 5.
I'm just giving other options. i'll go with the masses.

Hi,

Just to clear it up whitly have room for at least 5 tents but I did not ask about more but I got the impression it was more.

the distance - autoroute and multi-map have a difference of opinion - and with my sense of direction I would not know Very Happy

Regards

I don't fancy the idea of paying to sleep in a field 18 miles away when I can just turn up at the circuit and find a patch of spare grass somewhere for free Confused

I vote we "do a Snetterton".

Just had a call back, he has space and will put all together.
Cost depends on number of people in tent.
£5 if there is one person in the tent,
£6 is there is two, goes up like that. That is per tent per night.

(Ps There is a pub next dor.)

The "find bit of emtpy grass and camp for free" option sounds best, there'll be plently of empty bits of grass nearer than 18 miles to the track. Thumbs Up

I'll probebly end up sleeping in the car again, so I don't much care where it's parked, although close to the track would be a good thing from my point of view. Smile

I've been to Silverstone, there's not a great deal of empty grass from what I remember. It's all farms and farmers don't like people squatting on their land. Confused

There must be a patch of ground around that no one would mind a few tents being pitched on. Confused

Not that I recall. It's all full of cows, they only clear them off for people to camp when the GP is on.

The grass in the picture that's doing the rounds is literally 'it'. There are like 9 tents and 3 cars with trailers to fit on there.

And no toilets.

The majority have made no decision.

I am happy to go to the near one, as are Korn and Jay.
